Traditional Fences
"What's special about an old fence?" you may be thinking. Not much, these days. But a couple of centuries ago, fences were an important part of the Tyrolean cultural landscape. They divided the landscape and marked the properties of the farming communities.
In Mösern you can still see types of fences which are practically never seen these days. Types of construction which are made completely without nails and the only materials used are boards and branches.
The historic fences in Mösern help to keep the tradition of fencebuilding alive. They are not only there to be looked at however as they still serve their original purpose for the owners of the land and were put up as a co-operative effort.
