>> Walking programme

The Seefeld plateau is a real insiders' tip for fans of tobogganing. A variety of well-prepared runs and an extensive range of places to eat and drink mean that it's a great spot to plan a tobogganing excursion.
Our tip : The run down from the Reitherjoch Alm is a classic. The starting point is at the base of the Rosshütte mountain railway. From there an hour's walk along an easy track takes you up to the hut, where toboggans can be hired.
Another favourite sport is the Hämmermoosalm in the Gais valley in Leutasch. Here 45 minutes will see you up at the hut. There are also toboggan runs at the Hoher Sattel, the Katzenkopf (with the Kreithlift to take you up), the Rauthhütte and the Wettersteinhütte. In Scharnitz there are natural runs from Kreidegraben and on the Mühlberg and in Reith there is a run down from the Kaiserstand.
Another tip : Don't forget to take your ski glasses or goggles when you go tobogganing and, in the evening, a headlamp is a great help.
