Leutasch Geisterklamm
Deep in the Leutasch gorge the Gorge Spirit has lived for centures - or at least that's the story. The Geisterklamm offers a world of spray and whirlpools, waterfall and bizarre rock formations.
An 800m long platform directly through the gorge is a major part of the total 3km of the gorge trail. At various stops the "ghost" explains secrets about his gorge, for example, about the rocks in the gorge and how the ice flowed through his realm many millions of years before.
You can easily reach the gorge on the regional bus service or with your own car. There are plenty of pay parking spaces. You can also extend the walk to Mittenwald in Germany and experience a 23m high waterfall in the small gorge at the bottom.
